Bill Kmiecik (Retired)
Bill is the Founder of Wisdom Investments, bringing over 30 years of expertise in finance, investments, and taxation as a former CPA-PFS. He is actively involved in professional and community organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society, Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary International, where he served as Past President and Assistant District Governor. Bill has taught finance, accounting, and investment courses at William Rainey Harper College and Northern Illinois University’s MBA program. As his clients’ Personal Chief Financial Officer and Life Advisor, Bill is dedicated to guiding them toward financial independence, estate preservation, and building a meaningful legacy.
Jose Cuevas, CFP, CKA
Jose Cuevas is the President of Wisdom Investments and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional as well as a CERTIFIED KINGDOM ADVISOR™. With 22 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jose brings a broad and diversified perspective to comprehensive financial planning. He is actively involved in several organizations, including Kingdom Advisors, Willow Creek Community Church, the Elgin Parks and Recreation Foundation (where he serves as a current board member and former treasurer), Lions Club International, Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Executives Club of Chicago. Jose has also contributed as a coach for Little League Baseball and the Chicagoland Youth Football League.
Jose’s approach centers on helping clients align their financial decisions with their values and long-term goals. He considers himself a financial coach, guiding clients through their options and supporting them in making informed decisions for their unique situations. Outside of work, Jose enjoys spending time with his family and golfing, though he admits he is still perfecting his game
Scott Neubauer
Scott Neubauer is a Financial Advisor at Wisdom Investments, bringing nearly two decades of experience in pastoral and financial counseling to his role. Before joining Wisdom, Scott helped launch and lead Watershed Church in Elgin, Illinois, where he served as lead pastor. He is currently pursuing his Certified Financial Planner™ designation through Boston University, further strengthening his expertise in financial planning. Scott is passionate about serving all clients and feels a particular calling to support pastors and those under their guidance. Outside of work, he enjoys building his practice and spending quality time with his wife and two boys.
